Chapman House opened its doors, and the first of us to move in have already made it home. We celebrated two 100th birthdays, first Des, who received recognition from the RSL and a message from the King and Queen, and then Mavis, surrounded by family, cake and smiles. We hosted the Biggest Morning Tea in the new Chapman House, with a harpist playing and yellow and blue everywhere you looked. There was art therapy, active games, a Mother’s Day photoshoot and high tea, and a fish and chip lunch on Bribie Island, where some of us hadn’t set foot in over 50 years. And three little chicks hatched right before our eyes.
