Dear Friends and Colleagues: This year USGBC’s Greenbuild 2014 will be held in New Orleans from Oct. 22-24. The 2014 Global Conference has been dubbed “Leadership Jazz.” The Big Easy is the perfect setting to celebrate the green building movement’s global impact, while also embracing the essence of commu- nity, culture and soul. Greenbuild is the premier event for sustainable building. Featuring three exhilarating days of uplifting speakers, unmatched networking opportuni- ties, showcases, LEED workshops and tours of green buildings in New Orleans, Greenbuild offers a place for thousands to gather and renew their commitment to the green movement.

This year, Greenbuild will feature three unique summits. These summits bring together sectors of the green building industry for a day of focused networking, education and inspi- ration. The three summits are: Affordable Homes and Sustainable Communities Summit, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 9 am-5:30 pm; Materials and Human Health Summit, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 9 am-5:30 pm; and Vision 2020 Sustainability Summit, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 7:45 am-4:30 pm. Master Series speakers include veteran Bryan Andersen, USGBC’s Scot Horst, and Dr. Deepak Chopra. In addition to professional development and premier networking opportu- nities. Opening Plenary speaker at one Summit will be Cradle to Cradle co-creator William McDonough. Closing Summit Plenary speakers also include Acting US Surgeon General Boris Lushniak. This year’s entertainment headliners are Alabama Shakes and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.
