response, healthcare providers are shifting to a retail model to attract and maintain their patient base. Current and recent projects by Target Building Con- struction are prime examples of this changing healthcare landscape. In 2004, we com- pleted a major retail project for The Provco Group called Rad- nor Corporate Center, which included a mix of high-end restaurants, national and local retailers, and corporate offices. Located just off Lancaster Ave. (Rt. 30) in Villanova and the entrance to the Blue Route (I- 476), it has always been a prime retail location. Looking to expand its base on Philadelphia’s affluentMain Line, Nemours Children’s Health System is completing a new outpatient facility — Nemours Pediatrics Villanova — with the architectural firm of Francis Cauffman and Target Building Construction in a 7,100 s/f space in Radnor Corporate Center. Thanks to theNemours facili- ties staff whose leadership and directionhas been instrumental in the project’s outcome and a comprehensive design by Fran- cis Cauffman’s architects spe- cializing in healthcare facilities, Target BuildingConstruction is delivering an excellent project within a 10-week construction schedule. The project includes 12 pediatric exam rooms, re- ception area, nurses station, staff lounge, laboratory, clean immunization room, and four provider areas for patient con- sultation.
