Intecore: Effective Hip and Knee Pain Relief

PRP What Is It?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an exciting field of medicine that’s being used to treat several types of injuries and ailments. This noninvasive procedure can promote fasterhealing, reduce inflammation, and is increasinglyproviding treatment foravariety of conditions. What is PRP? A patient’s blood is drawn and put into a centrifuge that separates and increases the concentration of the platelets. Platelets contain proteins that aid the body in clotting. Specific growth factors that are released by the platelets are instrumental in promoting healing. Using ultrasound guidance, these platelets are then injected specifically into areas of the body that are affected. What Does PRP Treat? For several years physicians have been treating everything from tennis elbow and knee sprains to tendonitisand rotatorcuffstrainsusingPRP. Itsuses, however, areexpanding. It’s now used to slow down the progression of arthritis, during oral and plastic surgery, and may even encourage hair growth. Why is it Important? PRP is an important breakthrough because it provides excellent and consistent results, is relativelyquickandeasy,andusuallyprovidesnoside-effects.Thismakes itasuperior option to surgery and steroid injections. Another great aspect of this procedure is that it normally only takes about 15 to 20 minutes and requires basically no down-time.

Being active is extremely important to me and because Curtis listened to my goals, I was able to pretty quickly reach my potential. The whole staff is wonderful and supportive. the platelets containing the growth and healing factors from the rest of the blood. The PRP is drawn and injected into the affected area using ultrasound guidance. Dr. Dehdari is now using PRP therapy for arthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder and ankle, rotator cuff strains and partial tears, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, sports injuries, knee sprains, ligament sprains, patellar tendonitis, achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. “Our joints, tendons and ligament have a poor blood supply and therefore, heal very slowly. PRP therapy circumvents this problem by delivering a concentrated amount of the healing factors into the injured area, greatly amplifying the healing process.” “What was once a treatment for elite athletes such as Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry and Alex Rodriguez, is now being used more and more by all people including young athletes with acute injuries, weekend warriors and the elderly suffering from joint pain. All of my procedures are performed under ultrasound guidance to ensure the PRP is delivered to affected area in order to obtain the best results for the patient.” The procedure lasts only 15-20 minutes with no side effects and almost no down time. Consistent excellent results combined with the lack of side effects has made this the treatment option of choice over steroids injections and surgery. As Dr. Dehdari says, “Your body has an amazing ability to heal itself, take advantage of it!” To learn more, visit: advheal.com
