That rival ry has no place in a Christian fel lowship. How does Paul do this? He compares Christians collectively to a building and states in I Corin thians 3:9, " ...y e are God's build ing." This building can have only one foundation — Jesus Christ. It does have, however, many builders, some good and some not so good. But these builders are all subject to God and all are going to be judged
Why do churches, Christian schools and even Christian families have fights, factions and turmoil? One reason is that our focus is up on man rather than Cod. And the different ideas and techniques of men loom so large that the unity we have in Christ becomes secon dary. Sometimes one member of the body demands to have his way over all others. Christians also un wisely praise one speaker or teach er over another earnest Christian teacher. They may even go as far as the Christians at Corinth did and fight and split over the varying vir
