Rooster Crowing Contest Department F-106-1 Chairman: Don Hartman, Belews Creek, NC RULES, REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION
1. The 2023 Rooster Crowing Contest will be held Tuesday, October 3 from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. 2.The location of the contest will be at the front entrance of the Poultry & Pigeons building. 3. Fifty cent (.50) entry fee is required. 4. Pre-entry is required. On the day of the contest, the participant will be admitted to the Fairgrounds upon presentation of rooster, or if rooster is on exhibit, a pass will be issued by the Poultry Superintendent. 5.The contest is open to the world: LIMIT: One Bird Per Exhibitor. 6. The bird with the largest number of crows wins the championship. The Fair will provide special prizes for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion. 7. Any ties will be "crowed off" by rules set up by the committee in charge of contest. 8. Roosters will be penned in individual coops and handlers cannot clap or annoy birds. Exhibitors will not be permitted to disturb rooster during contest.
