Glengarry Pioneer Museum’s Confedera- tion celebrates its 150 th anniversary on Sat- urday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m., at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria. The evening will begin with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., with the delightful music of Kim and Eric Little to set the mood for this joyous celebration. The bar will be open and attendees will be able to sample our signature drink, «The Last Spiked Punch». According to event committee member Marlie Tilker, «You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to celebrate our great nation’s birthday. There will be a great mix of history, entertainment, and socializing!» While sipping on their drink and nibbling on appetizers, attendees will be welcomed to peruse the selection of silent auction items that will be up for grabs. Some one of a kind pieces such as glass-blown art by Eliska and Dean Smiley, iron wares by Blacksmith Pat Taylor, a Scotch gift basket will be on display. A meal will be prepared and served by Prestige Catering at 7 p.m. Afterwards, Mrs. Barb Newman will lead the live auction. Attendees will have the chance to bid on several exciting items including a $500 travel voucher, courtesy of VIA Rail, and lunch on Parliament Hill, provided by Francis Drouin. Ashley MacLeod and Paddy Kelly will get the dancing started with some traditional Celticmusic.The Country Lads will finish off

the evening of entertainment with a variety of tunes for your dancing pleasure and we will draw the winners of our door prizes and 50/50 draw. Costumes, semi-formal wear, and kilts are encouraged. The event planning team
