Eugene Elira is a Bahamian wordsmith of Haitian descent, a mix of dirt and divinity who draws inspiration from the commonality of the diaspora. Some of his works can be found in Moko Magazine (issue 17,15,13 )and MAC Covid online exhibition. His name loosely translates into 'lucky to be free'. He currently resides in Nassau , Bahamas. Evan L. Balkan is the author of three novels, including the PEN/Faulkner nominated Independence , and seven books of nonfiction, including The Wrath of God: Lope de Aguirre , Revolutionary of the Americas , as well as many essays and short stories in an array of publications. His screenplays have won multiple fellowships and awards, and he is a co- writer for the film, Wayward Girls , which is in pre-production. He coordinates the Creative Writing program at the Community College of Baltimore County and has served as a guest lecturer at Yale, Johns Hopkins, Bryn Mawr, and many other institutions. Jody Rathgeb , a retired journalist, is a regular contributor to Times of the Islands in the Turks and Caicos Islands. In addition to POUi , her short stories have been in other Caribbean literary publications, and she received the Marvin E. Williams Literary Prize from The Caribbean Writer in 2018. She divides her time between Richmond, Va., and North Caicos Island in the Turks and Caicos. M. M. Elmendorf has been an accomplished researcher and copyeditor for the Journal of Applied Christian Leadership , a contributing author for creative anthologies featuring classic literature and historical drama, and an educator of history / geography / psychology / world religion / literature / creative writing. She has a voracious appetite for learning and exploring and pondering the could-bes and what ifs. She is a full-time author and freelance contractor for writing, editing, and researching and divides her time between East Asia (her second home) and the United States, often collaborating on pieces with her husband as they dream and adventure together. Robert Knox is a novelist, short story writer, poet, and freelance journalist. He is the author of Suosso's Lane , a novel based on the notorious Sacco and Vanzetti case, and of House Stories , a collection of linked short stories. His novel Karpa Talesman , won a competition for speculative fiction and will be published this year by Hidden River Arts. His stories have been published by The Tishman Review , Lunch Ticket , and Eunoia Review , among other journals. He is a contributing editor for the poetry journal Verse-Virtual and his poems have appeared there and in other journals. Born in Antigua, West Indies, Althea Romeo-Mark is an educator and writer who grew up in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She has lived and taught in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, USA, Liberia (West Africa), England and Switzerland since 1991. She writes poetry, short stories and personal essays, is the author of two full-length poetry collections, The Nakedness of New and If Only the Dust Would Settle , (English-German), and four chapbooks On the Borders of Belonging (2023), Beyond Dreams: The Ritual Dancer , Two Faces , Two Phases , Palaver , and Shu-Shu Moko Jumbi: The Silent Dancing Spirit .
