LEGACY GIVING AT DULWICH COLLEGE

A Gift Open to Everyone

Leaving a legacy should not be about wealth but about intention.

For many, it is a way to make a significant impact that may not have been possible during their lifetime. By choosing to leave a gift in your Will, you can distribute part of your estate in a way that reflects what has mattered most to you. Whether large or small, every legacy contributes to the continued flourishing of the College. Some choose to support bursaries. Others wish to celebrate a subject, a co-curricular passion, or a particular aspect of College life that meant the most to them. A legacy can be a beautiful and enduring tribute and a way of ensuring that your name and your story remain part of the College’s future.

Every Alleynian is part of the story of Dulwich College. From the moment you first walked into the Barry Buildings, you became woven into the fabric of this place - your friendships, your ambitions, your memories embedded as surely as the bricks and mortar themselves. The College shapes each generation in its own way and in turn, each generation shapes the College. A legacy gift is one of the most powerful ways to continue that relationship.

A Community of Shared Commitment Those who pledge a legacy are invited to join the Canon Carver Society, named in honour of Canon Alfred James Carver, whose vision and leadership helped shape the modern College. The society brings together a community of like-minded Old Alleynians and friends who care deeply about Dulwich College and its future. Through events such as an annual lunch, members enjoy companionship, shared purpose and the knowledge that they are helping to secure the College for generations to come. Becoming Part of the College’s Enduring Story For more than four centuries, philanthropy has helped sustain and strengthen Dulwich College. Donations and legacies support everything from the development of our historic campus to the expansion of life-changing bursaries. Without this support, the College would not be what it is today. In the last year alone, we were honoured to receive £176,668 in legacy gifts, each one a testament to deep affection and lifelong connection. Legacy gifts ensure that future pupils can benefit from the same opportunities that shaped your own journey. They make it possible for talented young people, regardless of background, to walk the same corridors, sit in the same classrooms and discover their own potential.
