Know the Lord Jesus as a personal Saviour and know His Word. Be able to say "Come ami s e e ." We need a personal experience of our own salvation and why we are saved. THE FIRST DISCIPLES. A Lesson on Soul Winning. John 1:35-51.

This is the beginning of the evangel- istic record. Here we have a study in the D i v i n e ' a rt of soul saving. .The business of every believer is to be a w i t n e s s for Christ and a winner of souls. True witnessing will result in soul winning. John was a sign post pointng to Christ—So should you be. The life of every child of God should be a voice speaking of the Lamb of God which beareth away the sin of the world. Let us note the manner of approach to a soul as illustrated here. (1) Simplicity. Behold the Lamb, vs. 36. Jesus said: " A n d If I be lift- ed u p , " John 12:32. John directs two of His followers to Jesus. It does not take great brains to win souls, but it does take brave hearts. There is no great thing to do. A child can tell the story of His love and point the' lost ones to Christ. (2) Proximity of Field. The one nearest to you; a brother or sister, a friend or neighbor.
