The business of ex- change of money for offerings was legit- imate, but the place was outside. The dealers were extortioners also; they had a-monopoly and were robbing the peo- ple, Matt'/21:13. The lesson here is simple. The soul needs a pl£u:e and time for worship. The house of God- shoulii, be kept free from commercial- ism.. All kinds of fairs, festivals and gixn-cracks for raising money must be objectionable to Him. A regenerated man becomes a temple of God, and he

should keep his body clean and pure for the worship of God. L.Cor. 6:15^19. The Cleansing of the Temple. The Lord Jesus drove out the money chang- ers. He assumed contíóí, Mai'. 3:1-3. Judgment begins at the house of God. The anger of the Lord was righteous. He was His Father's representative. They asked Him f or His authority and demanded a sign and He gave it. His answer was prophetic. He changes from the type to the anti-type; from the house made with hands to the eter- nal house of His own body. In the an- swer He both revealed and concealed the truth: His resurrection was the proof of the pledge given; The Temple fell a prey to Eoman rage, but the in- destructible temple of His body is in the glory, and shall be manifested to these same Jews in the great day.
