complicated as we were doing an asset and liabilities purchase rather than a straight share purchase. All three though have also been so much more besides. They’ve all been on the end of the phone whenever we needed them, and they’ve been fantastically supportive and informative as it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster process. It’s not the sort of thing that either Angela or I have ever had any experience of, but we’re really glad to have concluded the process so successfully. “Looking ahead, we’re really excited to be getting to grips with building a fine furniture brand. We think we have room to grow the business in three areas: our domestic market; our exports, and by building much more of a rapport with the interior design world. We need to go through our current product range which is vast, prune it down and work up some new designs. We think there’s a real appetite for beautifully made high quality English furniture. We are also focusing on building the sustainability of our business now too, after having come so close to losing such a wonderful brand in furniture we want to do all that we can to make sure we are around for the next 100 years! We’ve just signed up to SBLive, so that we can manage our accounts online, meaning we can see what’s going on in the business in ‘real time’, giving us much more control over our business finances now.
