Districts can claim expenses that are deemed eligible. Services and specialized equipment that are specified in a student’s individual education program (IEP) are eligible for reimbursement. Settlements, provided they are part of a student’s IEP, are eligible for claiming. Unallowable expenses include evaluations including 45-day assessments, equipment maintenance, and building alterations.
