BIBLE INSTITUTE

LOS ANGELES

OF

A few months passed and the class grew in numbers, until in the summer of 1906 it was organized under the name of the "Fishermen's Club," (See Matthew 4 :19) and now has a membership of about 100. There has been str ict adherence to the principle of striving for a single object, viz., the study of God's Word, and the doing of active, aggressive personal work for the Lord Jesus Christ. Although Mrs. Horton has taught the class all these years, circumstances have compelled her to call in a helper recently for that part of the work. Many a homesick, motherless girl has been brought in by friends and saved much by the hearty fe llowship, wise counsel and friendship which she has found in the Club. A few good Christian women, who are always in attendance, are of untold help to these girls. There are prayer circles which are pledged to daily prayer and commitment of Scriptures.
