T he Bible v\!oman 's work is fou nd wherever the circum stances spell opportuni ty . He1- working hours are any in the twenty-four when the Lord can use her for comforting, hel p ing, winning back, or sav ing her s isters. The maj or part of her work is house to house visitation in an assigned district, organi zing and teaching Bibl e classes . meeting women in business offices, speaking across counter s, going from bed to bed in the hospital s, and tactfully conver si ng in the rest rooms of the business houses. T he Bible \Noman a ids pastors by train ing the church members fo r more efficient se rvice, and by finding in her visita tion the backslider and the unchurchecl, and reporting the same to some pastor. Since the organ izat ion of th e work, thi s band of devoted women has spent one entire morning each week in counsel an<l praye r, knowing that thei1· work can only glor ify Goel through the power of the H oly Spirit. The Lyceum Club Th is unique organi zati on, found ed by Mrs. Anna L. Hor ton, st ill proves its need of living and the power of its well- li ved li fe . Its purpose is not to afford amusement to g irl s, but to help them mature into a well-rounded Chri st ian young woman hood . Nevertheless the social hour and the hour fo llowing the lesson, affords them the fell owshi p that all young people need . T he several hundred office and sto re g irls who consicle·, themseh-es members are represented each T uesday ni ght by a goodly number at the supper table and in th e Bible Class whi ch fo llows. Many a homes ick, motherl ess g irl has been brought in by frie nd s and saved much by the hea rty fe ll owship, wise coun sel and fr iend ship which she has found in the Clu b. Some good Chri stian women, who are a lways in attendance, are of untold help to these girls.
