Tuition Fees T here are no tt1it ion fees; but for private lessons in voca l and i11stru111ental rnt1sic there is a normal charge. See page -t8. Registration Fee There is a registrat ion fee each se111 ester of two dollars ($2.00). T hi s is payable on the Registration Day of each term, before the student's class schedul e is made out . The Cashier 's receipt mt1st be presented to t he Registrar . This fee wi ll not be r efunded in case a st t1 clent leaves the Tnstitute. Hospital and Nurse's Fund EYerY registered stt1d ent. room ing in th e Institute bu;ltl ings, is reqt1 irccl to contr ibute three do ll a r s ($3 .00) each semes te r to the Hosp ital a nd N urse's Fund. This ent itles the student to the sen·ices of the resident nurse in cases not requiring hos pi tal care. \\ .here the stud ent mu st go to the hospita l, the Fund will defray the cha rge f01· room a nd board in one of the best hospitals in the city, to the amount of eighty dollars ($80.00) . Thi s does not include phys icians' fees, charges for surgicar ope rations, ambul ance serv ice, or med icines . .iVIate rnity cases. or illness dt1e to chroni c cond itions existi ng before enter ing the Institute. or accidents clue to carelessness or reckl essness, will not entitle a student to the pr ivil eges of the Fund. In case of an epid e111i c, t he F und will be used as far as it will go. when a ft1rther contdJL1tion will be necessa ry. Fees will not be refunded in case a stud ent leaves the J nstitute. Expense of Room and Board Un111arr ied students are required to roo111 and board in the Inst;tt1te Bu il di ng, but in the case of a stud ent who resides with ;:iarents or re latives in t he city, or whose empl oyment is of such a nat ure as to necess ita te li vi ng outside the In st itute buildings, the f<'aculty w; ll consider the circt1111 stances and decide accord ingly . .i\farriecl st ud ents can t1 st1all y find comfo r table apartment s at rea sonable ra tes within easy reach of the Inst itute . The Institute will ass ist th em to do so as fa r as possible.
