Third: A recognition of the progress iYe character and development of the d ivine re\·elat ion as set fo rth in the1 Scrip­ tures . Fourth: A knowledge of the di spensa ti ona l teaching of the \\" ore! of Goel. The Synthet ic method pur.-ued by t he class in this study is the reading- beforehand of an appointee! number of chapters in a book of the Bible; indeed . at times, a whole book is read at one sitting . The main sections of the book are then taken up and consiclerecl, and finally the teachino- of t he book is presented in unifi ed fo rm.
