THE BIBLE INSTITUTE OF LOS AN GELE S

twenty others are engaged as evangelists, Sunday School mis sionaries, city missionaries and in seamen's work. The meetings and privileges of the Club are open to all young men between the ages of sixteen and thirty-five years. See pages 54, 55. The Lyceum Club This unique organization still proves its need of living and the power of its well-lived life. Its purpose is not to af ford amusement to girls, but to help them mature into a well rounded Christian young womanhood. The several hundred office and store girls who consider themselves members are represented each Tuesday night by a goodly number at the supper table and in the Bible Class which follows. Between 100 and 200 show their growing interest in Bible study by their close attention through the entire class. They are intensely loyal to their leader, Mrs. T. C. Horton, who is by turn, mother, companion, counsellor, sympathizer and teacher. Many a homesick, motherless girl has been brought in by friends and saved much by the hearty fellowship, wise counsel and friendship which she has found in the Club. A few good Christian women, who are always in attendance, are of untold help to these girls. There are many prayer circles of five, who are pledged to daily prayer and commitment of Scriptures. Sick-beds and sorrowing members are not forgotten, as the many messages and visits prove. Absentees are kept in constant touch with the Club by a committee which looks after such correspond ence, and the cheery Christian letters are a help and blessing. The Student's Aid Society The Students' Aid Society has been organized for the purpose of assisting deserving students in securing the benefits of the school. The aim is to furnish full support for some, and to supplement the funds of others. The aid furnished by this organization is con fined definitely to necessary expenses for room and board. The Society lends the money to the students to be repaid as soon as possible after their graduation, without interest. Gifts for this fund should be so specified.
