Christian Evidences There will be a thorough course in Christian Evidences, both in connect ion with the cou rse in The Philosophy of the Christian Religion and in the study of Old Testament Prophecy, and by special lectures on the Divine Origi n of the Bible. In the study of Chri stian Evidences special emphasis will be laid upon the evid ential value of the proven Resurrection of the Body of Jesus Chri st from the Dead. 6. Homiletics A quite full course in Homiletics is already given in the two year course, but in addition to this there will be a large amount of ext ra work clone along Homiletical lines in the special three year course. It is intended that every one who takes the diploma in the three year course will be thoroughly acquainted with the best methods of obtain ing material for sermons, of constructing sermons and of the delivery of sermons . Each member of the class will have abundant opportuni ty to develop his preachi ng power by practical work under skilled instructors, who themselves have had large experience in pulpi t work, and who still are preaching to large audiences with defi nite and satisfactory results. 7. The Work of the Pastor There will be stud ies in the work of the pastor in all the different phases of the work that are required for the most efficient pastoral service in the Twentieth Century church, under the guidance of men who have themselves had much exper ience in the pastorate and in evangelistic work, including one who was the pastor for years of the largest church in the city of Boston, one who was the pastor of probably the largest church with the largest congregation of any church in Chicago, and who is, at the present time, the pastor of a church having the largest place of assembly and the largest congregat ion of any church in the
