4. Proficiency in English, proven by the presentation of a satisfactory graduating thesis, and by a public address. 5. Passing grades in the courses of study. The passing grade in all studies is 75. Students receiving less than this mark must take the work over again, or offer a special examination as the teacher in the particular course may designate. 6. Soundness in doctrine, to be determined by the Faculty. Students are graduated on completion of the two years' work, at the encl of any term. Letters of Recommendation Letters of recommendation are not given to students. The Term Certificate, which represents satisfactory work and char acter, answers the purpose of such letters. A student's grades in his studies, however, will be gladly furnished when officially requested by any institution desiring to give credits for work done at the Institute. In such case the name and address of the Registrar must be furnished to the Secretary of the Faculty of the Institute. The Alumni Association The Alumni Association holds a la rge place in the hearts of all fo rmer Bible Institute students. T he largest gathering of the year is naturally that held in connection with the Graduating Exercises in June. The smaller gatherings held usually in December and March are much en joyed by all who can attend them, the delightful informality and sociabi lity that makes so natural and easy the interchange of experiences have ,a peculi ar charm that is lacking in the larger and more formal gathering, ,vhile the afternoon of prayer brings a blessing that is indescribable. All former students should keep in touch with the Asso ciation. The officers fo r the current year are: Leonard L. Gaylord, President; Earl Morgan, Vice-President; E lfreda Stein, Secre tary, and Josephine Nelson, Treasurer.
