Welcome to the 2024 golf season at Pine Canyon! We look forward to having everyone back to enjoy the Club!

On behalf of the entire golf team here at Pine Canyon, it is my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to every one of you for the 2024 golf season.

I am excited to be your new Head Golf Professional and, as we begin this new season together, I am excited for the memorable experiences that lie ahead. Our Club stands as a testament to the camaraderie, passion, and love for the game of golf that unites us all.

Pine Canyon has always been a sanctuary for golf enthusiasts to come together, to hone their skills, and to forge lasting friendships amidst the stunning beauty of our course. As we move forward, we remain committed to upholding these cherished traditions while also embracing innovation and progress to ensure that your experience with us is nothing short of exceptional. In the coming months, you can look forward to a diverse array of events, tournaments, and social gatherings designed to delight and inspire. From friendly rounds on our beautiful fairways to thrilling competitions that test your game, there will be no shortage of opportunities to indulge your passion for golf.

Tee Times

• NEW TO 2024 - Starting at 7:00 am, Summit Members may book tee times 10 days in advance. *Alpine members may book 7 days in advance. • Tee times can be made online through the ForeTees app or by calling the Golf Shop directly at 928 233 5151. • X’s are allowed to hold spots but will drop off 72 hours prior to the tee time. Please fill in the names of your group prior as other players will be able to join your group when X’s drop off. • Members consistently “no showing” will be charged a $200 “No Show” fee. • Tee times will begin as follows to allow golf course maintenance to prepare the golf course.

Member Only Times

• Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays prior to 10:30 am are reserved for Members only • The Golf Shop reserves the right to pair singles and twosomes with other groups to accommodate Members, maximize play and keep pace of play consistent.

Member only times have been implemented in response to feedback from our membership (Member survey) and analysis of other private clubs. It is designed to increase tee time availability for Members and enhance our Member experience by giving Members priority during peak times. We understand we are a family club and are proud that our Members want to invite their friends and family to experience Pine Canyon. We truly believe with an 8:00 pm sunset we can still accommodate all extended family and friends on weekends.

Guest Policy

• All guests (regular and family) must be accompanied by a Member when on property unless approved by the Ownership, the General Manager or Head Golf Professional. • All guests must check into the Golf Shop prior to play. • Family Guest Privileges are extended to the following: - (Father/Mother) and (Father in Law/Mother in Law) - (Son/Son in Law) and (Daughter/Daughter in Law) - All Grandchildren • All other family members are subject to the regular guest fee. • An individual guest (regular and family) is limited to six (6) rounds per year. Please note that tournament and practice rounds are not included in the 6 rounds.

The First Tee

• A staff member will be present on the first tee to ensure that groups tee off in a timely manner, to communicate important course and operational information for the day and to assist Members and guests prior to starting play. • The golf staff reserves the right to place singles and pairs out in front of foursomes if it will improve pace of play for the day.

Checking In

• To ensure accurate billing, please check in with the professional staff prior to teeing off • There are three outlets available for you to check-in: - The Golf Shop - The Podium at Cart Staging - The First Tee • To expedite this process please provide all names of the players in the group with accurate classifications when making a tee time online or through the Golf Shop.

Main Practice Facility

• The main practice facility will open 45 minutes prior to the first tee time and close 60 minutes prior to sunset. • ProV1X practice balls are provided for use at the practice facility and may not, under any circum- stances, be removed for personal use outside the practice facility. • All guests must be accompanied by a Member to use the practice facility unless otherwise approved by the General Manager or Head Golf Professional.

Short Game Area

• The short game area will stay open until sunset to provide Members and guests the opportunity to continue to practice while the staff closes the main practice area. • Hitting full shots from the short game area to the main practice facility is prohibited. • The shorter flag sticks will be reserved for putting only. Please chip to the taller flagsticks.

Pace of Play

To ensure an enjoyable round for all players, please maintain a proper pace of play while on the Golf Course. Members are responsible for the pace of play of their guests and all groups are expected to play in 4 hours or less. Additionally, the Golf Shop staff will be proactive to ensure a reasonable pace for all golfers. Please be aware of your position. Groups will be notified and politely asked to close “the gap” to catch the group in front of them. Groups will be required to pick up their ball immediately and relocate to the position on the course they should have reached in the elapsed time.

Etiquette and good sportsmanship are integral parts of the game. To ensure all players enjoy the most out of every round, please:

• Respect the Golf Course – leave it as you would like to find it by repairing pitch marks, filling divots and raking bunkers. • Respect Your Fellow Players – be sportsmanlike and polite. • Respect the Game – know the rules and etiquette of golf.

Cellular Telephones

Out of respect to fellow Members, all cell phones should be placed on vibrate mode upon arrival at the Club. Members are also responsible for their guests understanding this policy. Discreet use of cell phones for conversations, email and texting is permitted, but please show consideration to those around you. Please review and follow this cell phone policy.

Member Sponsored Groups

Members may arrange for guests to play the Golf Course without an accompanying Member given the following conditions:

All fees must be charged to the Member’s account.

• Member sponsored guest fee is $400 per player, plus $100 per group caddie fee (regardless of the number of players in the group). • One tee time per day after 1:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, will be allowed for all Member sponsored groups and the Head Golf Professional will determine the times, based on availability of the Golf Course. • Member sponsored groups may play 18 holes only. • No fivesomes are allowed.

Pine Canyon fosters an atmosphere of the casual charm of a vacation retreat with the sophistication of a premier private club. With a relaxed ambiance always the goal, standards of excellence expected of a top-tier establishment are a priority. Therefore, it is imperative that Members and guests adhere to this dress code. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

• Pine Canyon supports the most current trends in the golf apparel marketplace. • Men’s headwear must always be worn forwards at all times.

Members are responsible for informing family, friends, and guests of all Club policies .

SERVICES & GUIDELINES

• Caddies may be reserved on ForeTees or by contacting the Pine Canyon Caddie Master at kyle.pratt@caddiemaster.org. He will assign the caddies to the Members. • Caddies with multiple requests for regular play will be assigned based on a first come first serve basis. • Caddies with multiple requests for events will be assigned based on the individual Member who employs the caddie the most on a regular basis.

Pine Canyon offers full-service club repair for your convenience. Services featured include re-gripping, re-shafting, loft and lie adjustment and any other repair requests you may need.

Season Opening Fitting Day

Come try the latest in new golf equipment from Titleist, Callaway, Taylor Made, PING, XXIO/Cleveland Golf and others. Monday, May 27 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on the Practice Tee. Fitting appointments are encouraged and can be made on ForeTees.

Posting Scores/Handicapping

• To have an accurate handicap that truly represents your level of ability, scores from all acceptable golf rounds and tournament rounds should be posted. • ForeTees now integrates with the GHIN handicap system and highlights a completed round that has not been posted. • The Golf Shop will receive an alert for any round played that is not associated with a posted score and a reminder email will be sent to the player. • If the score does not get posted within a week’s time of the notification, the Golf Shop will post a score of par. • Rule 2.1 states that solo rounds (played by yourself) are not post-able rounds. • There may be circumstances where a non-posted round will avoid a “Penalty Post”. - For example: If you are playing for fun with your family and focusing more on your children’s game and pace of play. Please inform the Golf Shop if this is the case. • The Golf Shop will post all tournament scores as well as Men’s and Ladies’ Days The Golf Professional staff will serve as the handicap committee.

5-somes

• 5-somes may be allowed at the discretion of the Head Golf Professional. • 5-somes will not be allowed prior to 1:00 pm unless the number of Members in the group is • greater than the number of guests. • All groups, but especially 5-somes, are required to play in no more than 4 hours unless being held up by the group in front of them. If not, they will be expected to skip holes to keep up pace.

Smoking

• Smoking is prohibited on the Golf Course during the periods of Extreme Fire Danger. • The level of fire danger will be indicated on a sign as you drive into the Clubhouse. • When smoking is permitted, do not set or discard your cigarettes or cigars on the grass on the Golf Course.

Music

• Music is acceptable when it is played at a reasonable level. • Please be respectful of the homeowners and your fellow golfers about the sound level coming from your group. The Golf Professional staff reserves the right to ask anyone to lower the volume of their music at any time.

Non Golfers and Vehicles on the Golf Course

• Only golfers, Pine Canyon golf carts, and Phat Scooters are allowed on the Golf Course between the hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. • For everyone’s safety, please refrain from walking dogs, cycling, jogging, walking, or driving your own vehicles on the golf course during these hours. • Before 7:00 am, all vehicles must remain on the cart path. Golfers have the right of way so we ask that you use good judgment when on the golf course after hours to avoid injury.

2024 INSTRUCTION PROGRAM

Pine Canyon is proud to offer teaching and coaching programs designed to enhance the enjoyment of the game for all skill levels. Our coaches will emphasize the fundamentals necessary to play better golf and help develop a foundation for improvement that is specific to everyone.

Jeff Smith, PGA - Director of Instruction

New to Pine Canyon this season is Director of Instruction, Jeff Smith. Jeff is a renowned golf instructor who has earned acclaim as one of golf’s top teachers and coaches. Recognized as a GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teacher in 2021 and 2024, Jeff has established himself as a leader in golf instruction. Jeff was also named as the Golf Digest #1 Teacher in Indiana from 2020 to 2024. Jeff’s teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that each golfer possesses a unique swing and scoring potential. He prioritizes optimizing every student’s swing to enhance their performance on the course through personalized instruction tailored to their individual needs.

Edie Wessel, PGA - Lead Instructor

Edie brings experience, enthusiasm, passion, and fun to the instruction program at Pine Canyon! She has worked with many of the country’s top instructors, mental coaches, and golf-specific fitness experts. She has a unique ability help her students improve their game in a fun and relaxed environment. Having three boys of her own, Edie is the perfect individual to enhance our Junior Golf Program! Edie is extremely excited to share her knowledge and help Pine Canyon Members improve their skills and add more enjoyment to the game! She will be available Sunday-Tuesday in June and July for private lessons. She will also be the lead instructor for the ladies’ and junior clinics as well as the Junior Golf Camps in June and July. Edie is as an independent contractor - Pine Canyon Members and their families are asked to pay Edie directly.

Edie’s Ladies’ Clinics and 9 Holers – Sunday Afternoons

Enjoy a Sunday afternoon with your friends learning the game of golf in a relaxed and fun environment! All levels are welcome, from extreme beginners to seasoned players. 1-hour clinic with an optional 9 holes of golf and cocktails at Morrish Station following play.

PC Junior Golf Camp is an extended version of our junior golf clinics with more emphasis on learning and playing the golf course. We will still practice and learn all aspects of the game on the practice facility but will add time on the golf course along with a few other fun activities so your junior can maximize their enjoyment of the game while gaining valuable on-course experience.

HOLE IN ONE CLUB

• Each membership (not individual Member) will be charged $5 on Opening Day. You will be included in the Hole In One Club unless you ask to opt out. • Once a Member makes a Hole in One, the fund is paid out as noted below and each membership will be charged an additional $5 to replenish the fund. If there are multiple HOI’s on a given day, the fund will be split between the golfers. • A Member must be in good standing to qualify. • A complete 18 Hole round from regulation tees must be played. • The shot must be witnessed by at least one Pine Canyon Member in your group. A group letting you play through a hole can be witnesses. • A Pine Canyon caddie may count as a witness as they are part of the group. • The following do not count as witnesses: - Non-Golf Professional Pine Canyon staff members (i.e. Agronomy staff) do not count as witnesses unless playing in the group. - Children under the age of 16 do not count as witnesses - Guests do not count as witnesses.

The scorecard must be signed by a witness.

• When you make your hole in one, you will receive the following: - Hole In One plaque. - $250 shop credit.

- All golfers on the tee sheet that day will receive one complimentary Hole In One drink that must be used in the Clubhouse Bar. - Junior golfers that make a Hole in One will receive a plaque only.

SPRING EVENTS

May 23 - Ladies’/Crazy 18’s Opener

$70 per person plus cart fee

First event of the season to kick off Memorial Day Weekend! Let’s fill it up, ladies! Entry Fee includes the buy-in for the game, a full breakfast and lunch. A Member may bring ONE guest for the same fee. 9:00 am shotgun. Format is Two Net Best Balls of the Four Person Team with a skin’s game. The goal is to get as many ladies as possible participating so you can make your own groups or the Golf Shop will pair you up if you would like. • All levels of players are encouraged to play. • Crazy 18’s are welcome to join in the fun and play a scramble.

May 24 - Men’s Season Opener

$70 per person plus cart fee

The fun continues Memorial Day Weekend with the first Men’s Day event of the season. 8:00 am Shotgun followed by lunch and scoring in the Clubhouse. Format will be Two Net Best Balls of the Four with a skin’s game. Only for this event may Members choose their group or the Golf Shop will pair you up.

WEEKLY GAMES

Weekly Games are designed to provide Members the opportunity to play with and meet fellow/new Members in an organized game. Sign up as a single and the Golf Shop will set the teams using the ABCD player format. The game is handicapped so all levels of players are encouraged to participate. You are more than welcome to make your own group, however to maintain the integrity of the game you will only be eligible for the skins portion of the game. Formats will vary.

Thursdays

Ladies’ Day & Crazy 18’s

$20 per person plus cart fee

Weekly ladies’ game. 18 holes of golf with a fun, different format each week along with a skins game. Crazy 18’s will play a fun Scramble. 8:00 am Shotgun. $20 cash buy in for Ladies’ Day. Scoring, lunch and cash payouts will take place in the Dining Room following play.

Registration opens in ForeTees one week prior at 7:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm on Wednesday.

Men’s Day

$40 per person plus cart fee

Weekly men’s game. 8:00 am Shotgun. $40 cash buy in. Team game paired with individual half shot skins included in the buy in. Scoring, lunch and cash payouts will take place in the Men’s Grille following play.

Registration opens in ForeTees one week prior at 7:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm on Thursdays

Please Note: The men’s and ladies’ weekly games will not take place during tournament weeks. Minimum age: The minimum age to participate in weekly games and adult golf events is 18 years of age.

SEASON LONG EVENTS

Sip N Swing

$100 per person

Fun, lighthearted social event for families to meet at the new driving range bar “The Nest”. We will have beverages and a series of fun golf contests. The course will be set up as a fun Par 3 course. Members can sign up on ForeTees and please include how many are in your group. Due to its popularity, this will be a Member only event. Guests are welcome if there is space available 24 hours prior to the event. Registration is limited to the first 48 participants to sign up. 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Play with the Pro

$25 per person plus cart fee

A team competition consisting of 3 Members and a staff Golf Professional. Each Professional will be assigned one tee time on a designated day Sunday-Wednesday and that day will stay consistent throughout the season. Men and women of all levels are encouraged to play and mixed teams are welcome. Sign-ups for each Professional along with the rules and format of the competition will be found on the EVENTS tab in ForeTees and can be made 7 days out.

The competition will run from June 5 to August 31 excluding holiday weekends.

Match Play

$25 per person

Season long match play is back for the ladies and men. The format for the men is straight individual match play. The ladies will play Two Person Best Ball team match play. Handicaps will be taken at 90%. The World Handicap System allows participants to play their choice of tees and handicaps are adjusted accordingly. Brackets will be arranged by index. All matches will take place from June to August. The deadline for the final match will be September 31. If you are planning to participate, we ask that you are COMPLETELY available during the Season. Matches will be scheduled by the participants and are to be completed by the designated deadlines. Any matches not completed by the set deadlines will be decided, without exception, by a coin toss.

Men’s North Rim Cup

$65 per person

A competitive Ryder Cup style interclub team event which includes Pinewood CC, Aspen Valley CC, Flagstaff Ranch CC, Forest Highlands CC, Oakcreek CC, and Pine Canyon. Teams will be comprised of 1 Golf Professional and 7 Members. The first 6 players to sign up along with the lowest handicap player (to play in the scratch match) will make up the team for the match.

To ensure all players are available to play, registration will open TWO WEEKS prior to each scheduled match.

Ladies’ North Rim Cup

$65 per person

A competitive Solheim Cup style interclub team event which includes Pinewood CC, Aspen Valley CC, Flagstaff Ranch CC, Forest Highlands CC, Pine Canyon, and the addition of Continental Country Club. The format will be Two-Person Best Ball match play. Each team will be comprised of 8 ladies.

The 8 lowest handicapped players will make up the team. 9:00 am Shotgun

Match dates and locations can be found on ForeTees. Registration for all dates opens in ForeTees on May 1st at 8:00 am.

Pine Canyon Cup

$65 per person

Season ending finale based on tournament participation and results. The top 16 players with the highest accumulated points over the season from Member events will be invited to face off in a two-day Ryder Cup style competition.

The last qualifying day will be September 1.

$400 per team

Two person teams comprised of one Member and one guest. One day of competition. Format is 18 holes of Better Ball. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. 8:30 am Shotgun with breakfast prior and lunch and awards ceremony following play. Additional information can be found on ForeTees and a final itinerary will be emailed to all participants two weeks prior to the event.

Ladies’ Boxcar

$1000 per team

Pine Canyon’s premier Member-Member event. A flighted 36 hole Stableford event with a welcome mixer the night prior to the first round. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. Flight winners will make the Shootout following the final round of play to determine the overall champions. 9:00 am shotgun both days. Please know your partner before signing up to avoid double bookings as we are expecting a full field.

Men’s Boxcar

$1000 per team

Pine Canyon’s premier Member-Member event. Flighted 36 hole Stableford event with a welcome mixer and Calcutta the night prior to the first round. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. Flight winners will make the Shootout following the final round of play to determine the overall champions. 9:00 am Shotgun both days. Please know your partner before signing up to avoid double bookings as we are expecting a full field.

July 12 - 13

Club Championship

$175 per person

Men’s, Senior Men’s, Ladies’ Club Championships. 36-holes of medal play. Gross and Net in each divi- sion except for the championship flight. We have added a “Just for Fun” ladies’ division to increase participation. Come out and enjoy the day without the stress of posting a score. Tee times begin at 8:00 am each day. Breakfast and lunch provided. Additional information can be found on ForeTees.

Jr. Club Championship

$60 per person

Club Championship for juniors ages 5-17 with 18, 9 and 3 hole divisions. Afternoon tee times Day 1 for the 18 holers. Afternoon tee times Day 2 for all divisions. Lunch following play both days. The awards ceremony will follow play on Sunday. Additional information can be found on ForeTees.

Bonnie & Clyde

$400 per team

Couples Club Championship. 36-Hole Aggregate Event. Gross and net winners and runners up are crowned. 8:30 am Shotgun with breakfast prior and lunch and awards ceremony at the Clubhouse following play. Additional information can be found on ForeTees. The final itinerary will be emailed to all participants two weeks prior to the event.

August 1 & 2

Two Day Member Guest

$750 per team

Our newest addition to the major tournaments and our goal is to establish it to be a premier event to compete in. This event is two person teams comprised of one Member and one guest. A welcome mixer the night prior to the first round. 36 holes of Better Ball of the team. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. 8:30 am Shotgun with breakfast prior and lunch and awards ceremony following play on Day 2. Flight winners will play in a Shootout following the final round to determine the overall champion.

August 14 - 16

The Duke

$1,800 per team

Senior Men’s Member-Guest. Competitors must be 55 or older. Practice round followed by two days of competition. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. Gentlemen’s premier Member - Guest event of the season. Practice round followed by three days of five 9 hole matches limited to the first 72 teams to sign up. A welcome mixer and Calcutta the night prior to the first round. 10 stroke index differential between partners will apply. Flight winners will play in a Shootout following the final round to determine the overall champion. Additional information can be found on ForeTees and a final itinerary will be emailed to all participants two weeks prior to the event.
