Ther e is a general sess ion. cons ider ing admini st ra t ion and genera l topics, followed by depa rtmental scss io11 s. Thi s branch of ou r \\'Ork has been of ycry practical se r vice, and has enlisted the co-operation ,;.i:cl interest of the Southern Cal ifornia Counc il of Religious Educat ion and of the lcacl er s in Daily \·acation Bible School work in the vario us denominations . Missions The Institute is particularly fo r tu nate in being able to have practically al l its 1 1issionary Subj ects taught by persons who know condit ions a nd needs of mission fields through per sonal practical exper ience as :\lissionaries in va ri ous fields abroad . Dr. H a r ry W . Boyd, the director of the cour se, is a pract isin g phys ician in Los f\ ngelcs, with an experience also of more than twenty years in the General H os pital , Canton, O1ina. This is the hosp ital founded by Dr. Pete r Pa r ker, the pi onee r med ical miss iona ry to China . a nd was the first missionary hosp ital opened in any field. Dr . Boyd is assis ted by a fine staff of phys ic ians . The students not on ly enj oy lect ures in th e class rooms, but are privileged to attend vario us clinics conducted by th e doctors and by the city hos pital s.
