SR Homes - November 2025

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING “My wife and I purchased an existing ‘new home’ that was previously under contract and fell through at Yellowstone. Dallas and his team were professional, timely, and offered different financial options related to closing costs. We have been in the home for six months and couldn’t be happier with the construction and service after the sale.” –DOUGLAS A. “Very happy with SR Homes. Purchased in 2016 and had no issues with the house in general. The house was sound and tastefully put together. SR Homes was easy to work with and followed through with all their promises. I currently live in another home in another city but would purchase a SR Home again.” –CATEANA P. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall, we go above and beyond to create a stunning outdoor area filled with trees, plants, outdoor furniture, and more. Once winter arrives, many will head indoors for the season, giving up entirely on all the work they put in during the rest of the year. If you feel this way, don’t worry! You can do a few things to protect your landscaping efforts from winter’s chill. Start by looking through your outdoor plants and furniture to determine what can survive the cold or adverse weather. Things that might be at risk should come inside where it’s warm, and you can continue caring for them. However, many plants and smaller trees can remain outside if you take the proper precautions, like wrapping them in burlap or a frost-protection fabric. These items are readily available at any home improvement store or nursery. You should also tie down and secure potted plants or lightweight furniture to keep them from flying away during high winds. Now, it’s time to investigate your trees. There’s no need to uproot and dig them up; instead, you’ll need to offer additional protection. Apply 3 inches of mulch to the base of your trees and shrubs. This provides insulation to your soil when the temperature drops. Some of your Preserve Your Curb Appeal All Winter Long

trees may have dead or dangerous limbs hanging off them. You should prune your trees to prevent limbs from breaking off and damaging your home during heavy snowfall or high winds. Don’t go overboard; each branch you cut off opens an opportunity for bugs and disease to slip in. Lastly, if you usually salt, you could apply more burlap or frost- resistant barriers to the sides of your walkway. This will offer an additional layer of protection for the grass and any plants that line your walkway.

By taking these actions, you can pick up where you left off once winter departs our area.
