Statement of Faith I.
The Bible, consist ing of all the books of the O ld and New Testaments, is the Word of God, a supernaturall y given revela tion from God Himself , conce rning Himself, His being, nature, character, wi ll and purposes; and concerning man, his nature, need, duty and destiny. The Scriptures of the O ld and New Testaments are without error or misstatement in their moral and spir itua l teachings and reco rd of historical facts. They are without er ror or defect of any kind . II. There is one God, ete rnally exist ing and manifesting Him self to us in three Persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. III. The Lord Jesus was supernaturally conceived by the powe r of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin-Mary, a lineal descendant of David. He lived and taught and wrought mighty works and wonders and sign s, exactly as is recorded in the four gospels. He was put to deat h by crucifixion under Pontius Pi late. God rai sed from the dead the body that had been nailed to the cross. The Lord Jesus after His crucifi x ion showed Himself alive to His disciples, appearing unto them by the space of fo rty clays. After this the Lord J esus ascended into Heaven, and the Father caused Him to si t at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and domini on and every name that is named, not only in thi s world, but also in that which is to come, and put all things in subj ecti on under His feet, and gave Him to be Head over a ll things to the Church . IV. The Lord Jesus, before His incarnation, existed in the form of God and of His own choice laid aside His divine
