Enbridge donates $7,500 Enbridge recently donated $7,500 to United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, toward the purchase of new emergency management communication and training equipment. “We are pleased to support the United Counties because they help keep our community safe,” said Norm Cassidy, senior land agent with Enbridge. “The upgraded communication and training equipment will help ensure the counties are better prepared to handle any type of emergency, which then better enables them to maintain
the safety and welfare of the community.” The Enbridge Safe Community Program provides financial support to first responders and safety driven organizations so that they can acquire new equipment, obtain professional training or deliver educational programs. The program has provided funding to organizations across North America since its inception in 2002. Pictured are Jack Sullivan, Ken Hall and Tim Simpson.
Roi et reine pour la journée L’Épiphanie est célébrée le 6 janvier dans plusieurs pays. Voici comment l’événement a été célébré à l’école Notre-Dame dans la classe de 3 e -4 e année. Les élèves ont dégusté un petit gâteau. Pour devenir roi et reine de la journée, ils devaient trouver une fève cachée à l’intérieur de leur gâteau. Les gagnants ont eu droit à plusieurs privilèges durant la journée en plus de porter une couronne de fantaisie. L’Épiphanie est une fête catholique qui célèbre la naissance de Jésus recevant la visite et l’hommage des trois rois mages. Ci-dessus, on reconnait le roi Keenan Quenneville et la reine Halie Rousseau.
