And certainly the price of Chris tianity is not too high. It’s the only thing I know of that has undergone no price increase in 2000 years. God still means it when He says, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no mon ey; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” Or when He says, “And let him that heareth say, come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

BEAUTIFUL OPEN-BOOK CERAMICS

The earth's elements captured to give you beauty and courage— every piece a chiseled gem of unexcelled quality, embodying the finest detail and modeling.

Eternal life is today, as it always has been, the gift of God. All it takes is a little opening of the heart to the gentle presence of Jesus. A trading in of hate for love. The exchanging of a cross for a crown. Just the simple confession that we are a little weary of trying to go it alone and the ac ceptance of God’s Son as a friend. A simple turning in the road from the broad downward slope into darkness to the narrow upward trail that leads toward the golden city. Oh, the price is right. There are, of course, a great many people who think they don’t need Christianity—but there are a lot of facts that say such people are wrong. Some of your customers will tell you that maybe Christianity was all right for the ancients, but they lived in pretty barbaric times and the world is a lot better now. That’s what they say. But is it? Remember Korea? We managed to kill and maim more people in one day of battle there than they suc ceeded in damaging in a whole war back in the old days. For my money we could stand some improvement on the morals front, too. Last year in the United States there was one divorce for every four marriages. I don’t know how that stacks up with the statistics for year one, but I do know that 40 years ago in America there was only one divorce for every 30 marriages. And I don’t remember reading in Julius Caesar about any. dope problem among teen-agers. And these are only symptoms of a process of moral decay that’s going, on all around us. And nobody can excuse himself by CONTINUED ►
