Andrew appears to have always been busy bringing people to Jesus. In the 12th chapter of John we are told about some Greeks who said to Philip, “Sir, we would see Jesus. Phil ip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.” Let’s be like the ant and tell others of Christ. when her Son performed His first miracle in turning the water into wine. “ CROSS” is the next word of which we shall think. John 19:25 says, “Now there stood by the cross of Je sus his mother.” She had been with Him at a happy wedding, and now she was standing in sadness at the foot of the Cross, watching Him die for the sins of the world. She doubt less knew better than the disciples just what was happening. The last word is “ PRAYER.” Be fore the day of Pentecost the follow ers of Christ were gathered together in an upper room. In Acts 1:14 we are told, “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplica tion, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his breth ren.” Mary had gone through glad and sad experiences, with her Son, and now we find her gathered with those who prayed. It is wise to pray, re gardless of the experiences through which we have passed. Jan. 17, 1954 F rom F ailure to F aith OBJECTS: A large capital “F,” and a pair of scissors. OBJECTS: A lump of sugar, an ant, a fly and two small bottles. (Put the ant in one bottle and the fly in an other.) LESSON: Can you see what I have in these bottles? “A fly in one, and an ant in the other,” I hear someone say. Between them there is a lump of sugar. If I should let them out of the bottles, they both would like to eat the sugar. But the fly would act dif ferently after eating than the ant would. When the fly gets all he wants to eat, he goes away and rests until he is hungry again. When the ant finds something good, he tastes it and then hurries off to tell other ants. Soon a trail of ants will be coming. You will be surprised to hear me say that this ant and fly remind me of people who call themselves Chris tians. Some hear of Christ, profess to accept Him as Saviour, but never tell others about Him. They are like this fly. Others are saved and go away to

(Fold each end to within % inch of the middle, leaving a gap of V 2 inch. In this space prin t the word “MARY.” Open the flaps and using the letters in the word “MARY,” complete the following words, “MAG NIFY, MARRIAGE , CROSS and PRAYER.” ) LESSON: On this white piece of pa per we see the name “MARY.” We will let this paper remind us of some very important events in the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus. When we open the flaps of this paper, the first word we see is “MAG NIFY.” She spoke this word immed iately after she had been told by the angel that she was to be Christ’s mother. In Luke 1:46-48 we read, “And Mary said, My soul doth mag nify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from hence forth all generations shall call me blessed.” By using the word “MAG NIFY” she showed how highly she regarded the Lord. The next word is “MARRIAGE,” reminding us of John 2:1: “And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there." She said to the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” (John 2:5). It must have been a great moment in Mary’s life

tell ,their friends and bring them to Christ. They are like the ant. This kind of Christian will have great joy in heaven, for Jesus said, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father w h ich is in heaven” (Matt. 10:32). This ant reminds me of a wise man in the Bible named Andrew. Of him we read, “He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Mes- sias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus” (John 1:41,42). On another occasion Jesus saw An drew and his brother and said, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men” (Mark 1:17).

The top bar should be 2 inches deep and should extend 9 inches hor izontally. There should be a one- inch hook extending up as well as down from the end of the top bar, making a perfect “ I” when the top bar is cut off. Color the “F” black, front and back. The inside of the
