COURSE FIVE BOOK STUDY-THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A · YEAR By WM. H. PIKE, Secretary of the Evening School. This course follows the telescopic method. It is a brief and comprehensive study of every book in the Bible, intended to give the student a mental vision 'of the whole Bible. It follows an outline of fourteen points regarding each book, and maintains the same treatment throughout. The study touches the important truths to be known about each book as well as the vital truths contained in each book. As to each book, are given (1) The key word. (2) The key verse. (3) The key chapter. (4) The writer or writers. ( S) To whom written. (6) Date written. (7) Scope of the book. (8) Summary of the book. (9) Gist of teaching. (10) Prac­ tical teaching. ( 11) The view of Christ. ( 12) Dispensational setting. ( 13) How to master the book. ( 14) Setting of the book. The course is divided into fifty lessons by combining the studies on some of the shorter books. The author suggests that the student study one book a week and thus cover the Bible in a year. By dividing one' s time properly each day and applying oneself to the task at hand there is no reason why the average Christian could not make real progress in Bible study and have a most enjoyable time in the work, using this course as guide .
