We would like to welcome you to our annual production sale. We are extremely grateful for your interest in our cattle. We are highly excited about this year’s o5erings o6 bulls and 6emales, including 6or the 9rst time, 10 aged cows. Our cattle are highly 6unctional in our environment, and as a 6amily operation, we demand docility in our herd. The cows in our operation are easy Aeshing and able to raise bulls and steers that push down the scale and 6emales that are 6ertile and have longevity. Our herd consists o6 both registered and commercial cows. We do NOT creep 6eed the bulls be6ore weaning time. The weaning weights 6rom the bulls come naturally 6rom the dam’s milk and genetics. Our bulls are pail 6ed twice a day, consisting o6 CHS bull challenger, corn, and oats ration with 6eed additive Amino Gain. Along with a 6ree choice o6 grass hay and AMPT T mineral tubs. Amino Gain is a high protein pellet that is uniquely balanced in amino acids and is designed to maximize muscle mass rather than add 6at. The pellets have rumensin to increase 6eed eMciency and prevent coccidiosis, Citristim yeast culture 6or gut health and AMPT A chelated mineral with 6orti9ed zinc product to boost health and development 6or 6ertility. We changed our ration this year due to the high 6eed cost. We had a nutritionist 9gure out a new ration with the 6eedstu5s that were grown locally. We 6eed the bulls a ration that involves lots o6 growth. It is also highly 6unctional with the goal o6 the bulls gaining approximately 3.5 pounds a day. Again this year, we were blessed with an abundance o6 moisture during late summer, which was much needed and welcomed after a hot and dry spring. The bulls weaned right on track and hit the troughs hard and cranked on the pounds. We have had a typical NW ND winter with one day being bitter and cold and the next sunshine and rainbows 6or 6eeding and developing bulls. The bull’s ADG was calculated 6rom weights taken on December 31st and January 31st. The actual scrotal measurements were taken on February 1st.
