What are its causes and symptoms? Does it ever have positive aspects? If so, when? What is the relationship between militarisation and political thought? What does militarising the economy mean? How does economic militarisation affect the military doctrine? What are the proposed solutions to avoid militarisation? By answering these questions, this study proposes a model consisting of seven indicators that can be used to study a specific case to measure the presence or absence of militarisation in a country and a society: the rate of population absorption, the military component of the economy, military influence in decision-making, the inflation of military spending, the deployment of the army in the streets, the spread of weapons and militias in society, and the militarisation of socialisation. Keywords: Militarisation, Army, Civil-Military Relations, Economic Militarisation, Military Doctrine.
