ROTC Life The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a four-year college elective program offered at Embry-Riddle’s residential campuses to train students to become Air Force and Army officers. The Air Force and Army ROTC offer you a chance to develop the skills for success needed in the military and civilian worlds, such as confidence, self-esteem, motivation and the ability to make decisions. We also have a Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) that offers you the ability to commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. The Undergraduate Research Institute (URI) promotes research, scholarly and creative activities at the undergraduate level. By enhancing critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills, URI helps to prepare Embry-Riddle students to contribute as productive individuals, employees and citizens. Double majoring in Computer Engineering and Space Physics, Parker Landon (’22) developed a program that creates 3D models of asteroids and their gravitational fields in a Julia Language Ephemeris Reader. This gives her and her team access locations and speeds of celestial bodies such as planets, moons and asteroids.

Flight The Department of Flight at Embry-Riddle’s Prescott Campus delivers a comprehensive four-year aviation degree that has become the industry-wide standard in aviation excellence. Flight training, along with a degree from Embry-Riddle, makes our graduates eligible for a Restricted ATP certificate helping you to get that dream job quicker. Additionally, we have career pilot pathway programs with Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, SkyWest Airlines, Korean Airlines and others. Airlines regularly come to Embry-Riddle career fairs specifically to recruit our flight students. Our graduates also go on to become aviation industry leaders, chief pilots, heads of flight standards, corporate vice presidents, military heroes and astronauts.
