Here is a calving ease Lakota with a +8 CED and actual BW of 72 pounds. A mid-March calf that still tipped the scale at 651 pounds. Out of an up-and-coming Maher Angus cow that was selected through their annual bull and female sale. Calving ease is bred in to 5625. As I write these notes, we just had our first Ellingson Lakota calf of the season born unassisted, watched on camera. They come easy and are jet black with lots of Angus character.
Another calving ease Lakota out of a nice young Maher Angus cow. The 352 cow has a BW ratio of 94 and a WW ratio of 116 on two bull calves. I think the youngest calf in the sale with an April 9th birthdate. We would normally keep all the April calves until they are two’s but he needs to go breed heifers somewhere this year.

The only 21AR Justified in the sale combines the fresh genetics of SAV Cattlemaster to offer calving ease and growth. We purchased the sire to 5630 at the 2024 21 Angus Ranch sale as the #1 selling Justified son in the sale. He has done a great job for us but unfortunately, we lost him this past summer. We liked his calves so much that we just replaced him with the #1 Justified calf at 21AR just the other day. A +10 CED and an actual 76-pound BW to ratio 94, with a 661 205-day weight to ratio 102 makes him a good choice.
Here are the first progeny from a sire we invested in for his calving ease and growth. BA Goliath calves start small and grow. Calving ease bred in with Confidence Plus and out of a great Rachel 1711 cow. 80-pound actual BW.
