BRED COWS Every year we offer bred cows out of our program. First, every cow in our herd sells when she turns seven years old.Why seven? After doing the math, we believe these females breakeven with a lot of life and fertility left in them, but they’ve served their purpose in our herd at that age. Second, we offer younger cows that are due later in our calving season in order to keep a tight calving window.These cows are from the heart of our program and deserve your attention if you are looking to step up the genetics in your herd. They often fit another operation’s calving season quite well. Finally, we breed a large number of replacement heifers each year because we feel they offer the best genetics we’ve produced to date and want to utilize that. Inevitably, that means a certain number of cows have to go in order to maintain a reasonable cash flow and stocking rate. All bred females declared bred when sold are with calf confirmed by arming the cows the week prior to the sale. We guarantee bred females to be pregnant at the time of sale unless announced otherwise.The seller makes no guarantee that a bred female will deliver a calf or carry a pregnancy to full term. Any request for refund on bred females must be made within one month of receiving the female and they must be returned to Bieber Red Angus in Leola, SD. Any consideration after the one month time period will be in the form of a credit towards a future purchase.
