He was eager and earnest. His one object was to see Jesus. B. Disregarding the crowd, he went ahead and climbed a tree. C. He was willing to forget his personal dignity. II. Jesus’ Invitation. A. Zacchaeus thought himself un­ seen. B. One can imagine his surprise when he heard the words: “Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.” C. Jesus desires to abide at your house too. III. Zacchaeus’s Acceptance. A. Made haste and came down. B. Accepted Him joyfully. C. Made none of the possible ex­ cuses. 1. No preparation.
