This month, Peak Performance Sports and Spine is proud to feature two of our team members who keep our clinic running smoothly and take such great care of our patients administratively. We’re thrilled to have such dedicated individuals on our team who bring smiles to everyone here at Peak Performance Sports & Spine. I’ve been a part of the team here at Peak Performance for the past three years and absolutely love it here. I enjoy working with my team members and greeting our patients as they come into our office. As part of the patient relations team, I have the chance to help patients if they have questions, and, as an added bonus, I get to see their transformation as they go through treatments.
the transformations they go through. A patient may come in on their first day, not feeling their best. Then they come in twice a week for however long their treatment is, and the results are amazing. By the end of their treatment, they’re almost unrecognizable. Having the chance to witness this, and what therapists do here, gives me the best feeling in the world, and it’s something I actually have personal experience with. In 2017, I was involved in an auto accident, and afterward, I started having back and neck problems. I received therapy here and it's one of the best experiences I have ever had. I experienced firsthand exactly how much they care for our patients and how much their work helps people. I know how much effort our entire team gives every day for each patient and each patient experience. I know for a fact we have the best team here at Peak Performance, and our therapists will do everything they can to provide the best care possible. When I first started working for Greg, I was a part-time assistant who helped scan old charts into the system. But it wasn’t long afterward that I started looking for a full-time position; I remember asking Greg whether he was looking for someone to work full time or if I could use him as a reference. Luckily,
there was a position open for me, and I joined Peak Performance full time.
As part of the patient relations team with Areli, I’m much more involved with the billing aspect of the office, which has always been something I love to do. I’ve always enjoyed checking in with patients, collecting their information, and verifying their insurance to make sure everything is on the right track for them. Additionally, in this position, I also have the opportunity to see the impact of our team on the community. Since joining the team here, Peak Performance has really opened my eyes to how much therapy is needed here in the valley. When new patients come to us after an accident or surgery, they’re in a lot of pain, but during the next 6–8 weeks, if not longer, you start to see the positive impact of physical therapy. It’s incredible to watch; these people come in struggling and feeling down, and then, when they leave, they’re in much better spirits. Physical therapy changes the lives of our patients completely, and that’s something I get to see and be a part of every day.
