ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE The Kahkwa Club – Erie, Pa 1986 to 1998: Head Golf Professional

The Kahkwa Club was founded in 1893 originally as a baseball club. Golf was introduced in 1899 and in 1916 Donald Ross was retained to design the golf course. Today it is considered one of the finest clubs in Pennsylvania and it has hosted numerous local, state and national championships including the 1971 U.S. Women’s Open, 2004 Women’s Amateur and the 2016 Women’s Mid-Amateur.

Piney Branch Golf Club – Hampstead, Md 1984 to 1985: Head Golf Professional

Piney Branch boasts the diversity of northwest Baltimore County’s rolling hills, with generous tree lined fairways, and exquisite bent grass greens. Piney Branch is an excellent test of golf for all levels of play and offers a variety of dining options for members and their guests. Piney Branch has been home to the 2006, 2007 and 2011 U.S. Amateur Qualifier.

HONORS AND AWARDS Section Golf Professional of the Year ‘96 •

Golf Professional of the Year is the highest honor for the PGA Professional. It is awarded to a golf professional based on his performance at a golf facility, level of service to the Section, and displays a leadership ability to inspire fellow professionals in promoting the game of golf. Section Merchandiser of the Year, ’89 ‘96 • The Merchandiser of the Year Award is designed to recognize those PGA Professionals who have excelled as business persons / merchandisers in the promotion of golf.

Section Bill Strausbaugh Award, ’92 ’94 ‘97 •

The Bill Strausbaugh Award is designed to recognize PGA Professionals who by their day-to-day efforts have distinguished themselves by mentoring their fellow PGA Professionals in improving their employment situations and through service to the community
