YOUTH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM - FRIDAY, JUNE 5 The Suffolk Event offers a unique opportunity for UJSSA members – educational sessions customized just for youth! In addition to hands- on experiences, attendees will team up with UJSSA Directors & Interns throughout the weekend! Youth Educational Program Topics: Friends & Flock Mixer, Showmanship Camp, Lamb Carcass Evaluation and Lamb Cut Identification (ID) and On-The-Move Mini Sessions Hey kids, learn and you may earn! Those youth age 8-21, and participating in the youth educational program will be entered to win one of five $500 credits to be used in the National Sale to purchase registered Suffolks on Saturday, June 6. Sale credits generously presented by the United Suffolk Sheep Foundation to encourage more kids to get involved in UJSSA and to raise registered Suffolks. Registration deadline to take part in The Event educational programs and other activities is Friday, May 1, 2026, on www.suffolks.org. SUFFOLK CUP: YOUTH OLYMPICS - SATURDAY, JUNE 6 A fun, team-oriented youth event that combines a Skillathon, Cooking
Competition and Judging Contest. No matter your experience level, it’s a “do it together as a team” approach. Team awards will be presented at the Suffolk Hall of Fame banquet Saturday evening. Join us Saturday morning starting at 8am in the Witham Classrooms! “HAPPY 250TH BIRTHDAY USA” COSTUME CONTEST – SATURDAY, JUNE 6
This Patriotic Parade celebrates this year’s Suffolk Event theme - “Happy 250th Birthday USA” ! Junior show exhibitors are encouraged to celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday leading a Suffolk sheep into the showring, donning patriotic costumes or accessories for themselves and their sheep. The audience will cast ballots for the exhibitor best expressing the spirit of the show and theme who earns the People’s Choice Award. Signup at the Suffolk Event!
