Work-from-Home Tip No. 18 Prioritizing Time Off At Nightingale Education Group, we strongly encourage all collaborators to use their time off. Now more than ever, time away from work is essential to both your mental and physical well-being. When you take time off, you might choose to exercise, read or write, meditate, catch up on personal tasks, connect with friends and family, go on vacation, or enjoy one of your favorite hobbies. Prioritizing time off and taking wellness days is crucial to support work-life balance in a remote environment. While it might be tempting to maximize your accrued time off, maxing out your vacation balance can be counterproductive to your well-being. Taking regular breaks throughout the year helps maintain balance, reduces stress, and prevents burnout. With both vacation and wellness time, collaborators are encouraged to maintain at least 24 hours of accrued vacation time for unforeseen circumstances. With a function leader’s approval, eligible collaborators may also borrow up to 40 hours of vacation time. For more information regarding borrowed time off, please contact a member of CX.
