PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT VHP VETERAN HEALTH
VHP Veteran Health Program supports veterans and their families throughout the Lehigh Valley and Poconos by coordinating health care and benefits services tailored to their unique needs. Staffed by clinically certified, trained professionals, the program guides clients through complex navigation and creates personalized care plans via case managers. Additionally, it connects them with community partners for support services such as compensation and claims assistance, peer support, housing, employment, financial aid, legal help, nutrition, clothing, and wellness. In June, the program hosted its first Women Veterans’ Wellness Retreat— a safe, supportive space created for women veterans. The full-day event included mindfulness exercises, yoga, massages, art making, music therapy, and more. Within this private gathering, veterans, allies, and community partners came together to express themselves freely and form meaningful connections. Together, they created a sisterhood rooted in mutual support, trust, and resilience.
