PARTNERSHIP SPOTLIGHT MOBILE VISION PROGRAM
STUDENTS SERVED INCLUDING 122 ELEMENTARY AND 33 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
I cannot speak highly enough about the impact of this program on our kindergarten students. Our students proudly wore their new glasses for weeks, eagerly showing them to anyone who visited their classrooms. Most importantly, they felt confident and excited because they could finally see clearly.” — Principal , ALLENTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT A new collaboration between Allentown School District and Valley Health Partners, the Mobile Vision Program cares for children who have not passed their school vision screening. They receive a full exam from trained professionals right in their school, and glasses if needed at no cost. This pilot program, which ran October to May, was limited to students identified by the school nurse through vision screenings as needing further evaluation by an eye care specialist.
