Making a Difference One Note at a Time Byron residents Kerry Trimble and her partner Dwayne Knox, together with Barry Travnicek, have organized a musical charity event this September in support of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada. MS Music will feature five local bands: Rustbuckets, Down ‘N’ Dirty, The Do-Overs, Grunge Cantina, and AXL/DC. The bands will perform at Eastside Bar & Grill from 1 to 6 pm, Sunday, September 14, 2025. Official Plan and Zoning amendments to allow: • Two (2) 7-storey residential apartment building • 156 residential units (159 units per hectare) • 141 vehicular parking spaces • 156 bicycle parking Spaces Want to learn more or provide input? Music has always been a passion for Kerry and Dwayne, whose band is The Do-Overs. Wanting to use music to give back to the community, they decided a charity show for MS was the right fit, as their lives were deeply impacted by MS when Kerry’s mom was diagnosed with the disease. Barry started raising money for MS after his sister’s diagnosis. She lost her battle with the disease in 2018 at the age of 66. Canada has one of the highest rates MS worldwide with an estimated 90,000 Canadians living with the disease. MS is a neurological disease of the central nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Currently, there is no cure. MS Music, an all-ages event, will include raffles, silent auctions, and a 50/50 draw. Advance tickets are available for $15 online or at Eastside Bar & Grill. Tickets at the door are $20.
