Lions Support Strathroy Hospice Lions International organizes its clubs into Zones, and part of their mandate is for each Zone to select a project that benefits all the clubs within that Zone. For the Strathroy-Caradoc area, the Zone includes Strathroy, Mount Brydges, Melbourne, Delaware, and Glencoe.

Each year, one club in the Zone chooses the project or initiative

that it will support. For 2025, it was the Delaware Lioness Club’s turn to select the project, and they selected the Strathroy Hospice. Strathroy Hospice will provide palliative care for the Strathroy- Caradoc area as well as Glencoe, Komoka-Kilworth, and Delaware. The combined donation to the Strathroy Hospice from all the clubs in the Zone was $4,100. “The Strathroy Hospice Board is deeply grateful to all the Lions and Lioness clubs in our area for their fundraising efforts and generous donations,” adds Kathleen Steffnar, Board Member. “Their early commitment to hospice is so important and much appreciated by all.” The Lions Clubs are encouraged to continue supporting the Strathroy Hospice beyond their Zone donation, and all three have committed to do so.
