emy is to “put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to with stand in the evil days, and having done all to stand.” * * * "Once you're on salvation's train, make certain you're not traveling on the sleeper!" * * * A MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE NEWSPAPER recently carried the account of a little mole that had tunneled into the base of a section of the levee in Arkansas, causing a 50 foot break in the levee system which crumbled and was destroyed along the 50 feet. It takes so small a thing to cause life’s frustrations, and those small daily trials will test your faith in things that lead into sin, but thanks be unto God, H e will enable us to triumph in Christ! The Bible says, “Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines.” Through prayer and the keeping power of the Word we can gain the victory over the fretting annoyances of life. Thanks be unto God who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. * * * "M en are born with two eyes and one tongue in order that they may see twice as much as they say." * * * M ON EY HAS ITS LIMITS. Most folk are captive to the desire to get more money! But rem ember this: “Money will buy a bed but not sleep; books but not brains; food but not appe tites; finery but not beauty; a house but not a home; m edicine but not health; luxuries but not culture; amusements but not happiness; re ligion but not salvation.” But what money could not do—buy peace of heart — God has purchased for us through the death of Christ, His Son, on the cross. The Lord is not w illing that any should perish, for whosoever will may come! 21

"Some bring happiness wherever they go; others bring it whenever they go." "Don't pray for tasks equal to your power, pray for power equal to your tasks." * * - * TW O DEFINITIONS. “An atheist is one who believes there is no God. But a Christian who worries is one who lives as if there were no God.” We may not need a halo on our heads, but certainly every child of God should have a solo in his heart. We sing, “Sweet Hour of Prayer” and yet we are content with a few minutes a day of prayer. We sing, “0 , For a Thousand Tongues to Sing M y Great Redeemer’s Praise” and yet when we have the opportunity of witnessing to another, we fail to use the one tongue we do have. We sing, “Serve the Lord with Glad ness” and then we complain about all the things that we have to do. We sing, “There Shall be Showers of Blessing” and yet we do not both er to come to church when it is rain ing. * " A nationwill find it difficult to balance a budget at the end of a sword." * * * TH E PERILOUSHOURS in which we are living should cause the Chris tian to be vigilant. J. Edgar Hoover, head of our FBI, reports that there are more than 300,000 trained spies serving Communism here in the United States as well as in free countries around the world. The Bible tells us about the time when the children of God slept and the enemy came in like a flood. As one trained in espionage, Satan is ever watchful to find the moment of your greatest weakness, for it is then that his desire poises to strike and bring spiritual defeat and down fall.
