Lest We Forget D efinition of a M essage A Scriptural Message is a message gathered through prayer and earnest study, delivered in the power of the Holy Spirit with the supreme object of sav ing men from sin and lifting them into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Faith Faith is the one link between the soul and truth. Faith is the most potent force in the realm of thought. Faith is the spiritual eye that, piercing the clouds, can see God in the dark. Faith creates its own emotions and car ries its own lamp. If a man maintains his faith in an un erring God, all the grinding poverty that ever crowded a man into a garret cannot keep him from the mansion prepared for him. Faith must rest on evidence—the evi dence of God’s Word. —^o— Heaven Heaven is the home of the children of God over which there are no shadows. The sweet and alluring promise of heaven is : “There shall be no night there.” Heaven is entered only by the way of the cross, — o — The Cross The cross is the center of the universe and of history. Man’s only glory is the cross, other wise it becomes his stumbling-block. The key to the Old Testament is, Jesus Christ dièd for our sins according to the Scriptures. The cross is the symbol of Christianity. The resurrection is the crown of the cross. The glory of God is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. “We did not see Thee lifted high Amid that wild and savage crew, Nor hear Thy meek imploring cry, ‘Forgive, they know not what they do’; Yet we believe the deed was done Which shook the earth and veiled the sun.” — Selected. — o — Hold Fast By Your Sunday A RESTFUL Sunday is a physical neces sity for all. A QUIET Sunday is one of the greatest moral forces of the universe. A FAMILY Sunday is a preserver of the home. A CIVIC Sunday is a Charter of indus trial freedom. A CHRISTIAN Sunday is a bulwark of the righteousness which exalteth a nation. The Bible Call.
