Since 1911 The Elmwood Lawn Bowling Club has been a cherished part of Wortley Village, and on July 10th, the Old South Community Organization and Old South Business Association partnered to present a Free Lawn Bowling and Community Social event with cold drinks from Old South’s Storm Stayed Brewing Company, amazing food from Old South Pub and live music. It was great to see so many people out. Many tried lawn bowling for the first time, discovering how fun the sport can be, and mother nature even stepped in to make sure it was a great day! Visit elmwoodlawnbowlingclub.com to learn more. Submitted by Ian Sterling Leishman “We love helping make the gardens of Old South beautiful,” exclaimed Brandie Schreiber of Happy Hippy Horticulture. The local company specializes in hand manicures of gardens without the use of chemicals or power tools. Above, Sandee Martin and her dog Princeton enjoy their beautiful garden on Garfield Ave. after Sandee had won Happy Hippy Horticulture’s mid-season garden makeover.
