Wortley Jazz and Blues by J. Bruce Parker
It was great weather and great vibes as the 12th edition of the Wortley Jazz and Blues festival took over the village on August 17th. The music-loving faithful packed Wortley Road to see seven great bands perform at three stages. It was four hours of top-notch music accented by the foot stylings of members of London Lindy Hop. The event, created by musicians Marty Verweel and Chris Murphy, brings out the best in our community. Much thanks to all the vendors, sponsors and volunteers who made it so successful.
