Pressure balancing also eliminates airlocks in the materi- al stream that make the system more prone to plugging. These advantages pay off with more system uptime. “Liquid Static Suppression System: Static control is an ongoing challenge for every trim collection system. Left unaddressed, static electricity can cause problems rang- ing from bad bales to baler fires due to false cycling. “G. F. Puhl offers several types of dry and electronic static electricity suppressors. Both have a wide variety of applications, though the dry type has a lower working range of 20 percent relative humidity. For tough applica- tions where static electricity is added during the manufac- turing process, and where relative humidity drops below 20 percent, an accurate and consistent application of wa- ter and static eliminator liquid concentrate does a great job to suppress static electricity where and when needed. “Post-Mounted Blowers: This blower configuration con- tinues to be a big hit with customers who want to conserve floor space and minimize ductwork at the floor level. Most G. F. Puhl post-mounted blowers reduce footprint at the floor level to less than 4 sq. ft. “Maintenance is also faster and easier. Thanks to G. F. Puhl’s 3D CAD designed tool-less grease fitting access shaft guards, servicing a post mounted blower typically requires little more than a scissors lift and a few minutes with a grease gun. “More Technical Resources: G. F. Puhl Company’s elec- trical and support staff continues to expand, and 2023 was no exception. Several customers have complimented our new techs on their ability to troubleshoot via phone and video conference. Pre-startup meetings have also been a benefit to customers by giving them a better idea of what to expect during the installation process and what is re- quired for smooth system startup. “Operator training is always an issue with trim collec- tion systems, and G.F. Puhl has developed solutions that accomplish this quickly and efficiently. “When customers need to train their maintenance staff on G. F. Puhl trim system operation, we offer a dual Pre- ventive Maintenance/Training program accomplished on site at the same time. “This hands-on training makes is possible for our cus- tomers to realize the cost savings that come with DIY maintenance, while enabling operators to do their jobs in an informed and efficient manner. Uptime results have been very positive for customers utilizing our Preventive Maintenance Supervision and Training approach. “UL Certification: If you have any doubts about the electrical reliability of your G.
