Boentag Opens New Finnish Facility Beontag, a global provider of pressure sensitive adhe- sives and smart tags such as RFID and NFC, has opened a new facility in Tampere, Finland. The opening ceremony was attended by Luis Balduino, the ambassador of Brazil to Finland, and Ilkka Sassi, dep- uty mayor of Tampere, who together officially welcomed Beontag to the Tampere site. The opening marks the final stage of an initial investment of $40 million in the region, with plans to invest further in machinery and equipment to match Beontag’s global ex- pansion ambitions. The facility houses 50 employees and expects to grow its workforce by 15 percent to 20 percent, with a focus on engineering and research and develop- ment roles. In 2022, Beontag acquired Confidex, a provider of RFID applications, wireless IoT solutions, and transport ticketing.
