Prescott Regional Airport ERNEST A. LOVE FIELD (PRC) Growth and Networking
Prescott Regional Airport has experienced high growth in recent years, with operations increasing 7.5% in 2024 over 2023, making it the 22nd busiest airport in the nation. United, via its regional partner SkyWest Airlines under an Essential Air Service contract, provides networked air service through its Los Angeles and Denver hubs. U.S. Forest Service Presence The U.S. Forest Service maintains a significant presence at the airport, including a fire base supporting statewide dispatch and management of wildland firefighting assets, logistics distribution of materials and supplies, and aerial firefighting operations up to large air tankers. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Embry-Riddle supports primary and advanced pilot training with 1,050 active flight students utilizing 90 aircraft at approximately 300 flight hours per day. The Prescott Campus has also expanded its training capabilities with the installation of advanced simulators and the Enhanced Collegiate Training Initiative (ECTI), preparing graduates to enter air traffic control facilities to help address critical workforce needs. Strategic Growth Rapid growth in recent years is driving expansion at Prescott Regional Airport, which currently operates on 587 acres. Land acquisition is underway to support extension of the airport’s primary runway, meet regulatory safety requirements, and satisfy airline operating standards. State funding through ADOT is helping leverage additional FAA investment to advance these improvements.
