Diverse Read-Alouds and Knowledge Building Text Sets The shared read-aloud is the core of every LitCamp lesson. Each read-aloud is taught over the course of two days. On Day 1, lessons feature an introduction to the book, where students engage with an uninterrupted read of the text. On Day 2, leaders guide students in a whole-group discussion about the text, guiding them toward an essential understanding and deepening comprehension. The following list outlines the Read-Aloud titles featured in LitCamp. In addition, there are also anchor texts in text sets that feature decodables and short reads.
